(INDIANAPOLIS) America's most competitive Monster Trucks will be unleashed at the Champlain Valley Exposition, 105 Pearl Street in Essex Junction, Vermont in three shows on August 7th and 8th, 2010. The Bond Auto Parts Monster Truck Thunder Drags will feature giant Monster Trucks performing on a specially designed course filled with jumps and huge stacks of crushed cars. These incredible machines will compete in side-by-side drags, and in a wheelie shootout before leaping into amazing, axle-wrenching freestyles. Joining the show will be the big air insanity of top stunt FMX motorcycle riders and "Porkchop" the motorsports clown who will host the event and mix in his hilarious routines. Saturday, August 7 shows will be at 1:00pm and 7:00pm; and the Sunday, August 8 show will be at 2:00pm. Gates will open 90 minutes prior to each show for a free autograph pit party for ticketholders with the Monster Truck drivers and their machines.
Bond Auto Parts, a Vermont business that has been family owned and operated since 1956 is sponsoring the event. Bond Auto Parts is Vermont's largest aftermarket automotive distributor, and has consistently ranked as one of the 25 largest such firms in America. The company has a long history of active community involvement. Chairman of the Board of Directors Bill Bond sets the tone with his employee directive: "Be part of something bigger than you are". From assisting Little League programs, school fundraisers, hunting and fishing clubs, and more to supporting numerous local race tracks, Bond's generously contributes to dozens of family-oriented activities in the region.
Mark Mast, Vice-President of Marketing for Bond Auto Parts says: "We are very happy to announce that the family fun of the Monster Truck Thunder Drags will be coming back to Essex Junction this year. We have found that the Monster Trucks have proven by far to be the most popular feature of similar events we've sponsored in the past, so this year we're focusing in on what everyone loves to see. It's one of those larger-than-life spectacular events that appeals to all age groups and especially to families with kids. We look forward to seeing everyone in August."
Family Events is the Indianapolis-based company that produces the event. The company has brought 4-Wheel Jamborees to markets across the U.S. for over 28 years and also produces the 15-city winter indoor "Monster Nationals" tour. The company states the reason for the switch of the Essex Junction date from a 4-Wheel Jamboree to a Monster Truck race and thrill show reflects both rising costs and attendee interest.
Matthew Louck, V.P. of Marketing for Family Events explained: "We love coming to Vermont. We have always had some of our biggest and most enthusiastic Monster Truck show crowds when we have produced Jamborees here in Vermont. That said, with the rising production and insurance costs, coupled with slow growth opportunities in other participant-oriented aspects of the a Jamborees, such as Show-N-Shine, we felt that the best way to be able to continue coming to Vermont would be to focus on the fans' favorite part of our past Jamborees, which were Monster Trucks. That's why, with Bond Auto Parts support, we are very excited to announce that we will continue to treat New Englanders to a top notch Monster Truck Thunder Drags show."
The roster of Monster Trucks scheduled for the Bond Auto Parts Monster Truck Thunder Drags will be announced soon. Updates and information can be found at www.familyevents.com or by calling 317-236.6515.
